keiichi tsuchiya:the DORIKIN



Keiichi Tsuchiya or the “Drift King,” as he is more widely known, is a living legend within the drifting community. he was known also as the "DORIKIN" for his un traditional way in drifting in non-drifting race events. HE developped several drifting techniques widely used by professional drivers today. Unlike most professional drivers that come from wealthy families or have previous racing experience in other motorsports, Keiichi Tsuchiya earned his reputation and honed his drift skills from illegal underground street races. In fact, Drift King Keiichi Tsuchiya had his license suspended for illegal street racing not long after he began his professional racing career in the amateur Fuji Freshman racing series.
Keiichi Tsuchiya was born January 30, 1956 in Nagano, Japan and started his professional racing career in 1977. Beginning with the Fuji Freshman Racing Series, he continued his racing career in the Japanese Formula 3 Series, Japanese Touring Car Championship driving a Nissan skyline GTR, and a Honda civic in Super Touring car championship class. Throughout the Drift King’s racing career, he made a name for himself driving, and drifting of course,and also made a name for His favourite car the "Toyota AE86 sprinter tureno" that became one of the most famous sport's car nowadays. the car is also know as the "Hachi-Roku" which means in japan "the eight-six".


TSUCHIYA'S MOST NOTABLE WINS AND RACING CAREER:

He went on to score a class win and an 8th place overall at the 1995, 24 hours of Le Mans in a Honda NSX.in 1999 in the same race, with co-driver Ukyo Katayama in a Toyota GT-One they came on second place during the last hour while co-driver Ukyo Katayama was building up pace to the leading BMW V12 LMR he was forced into the grass by a backmarker privateer's BMW LMP, blowing the tire out. They survived the ordeal and went on to score the fastest lap but were forced to settle for second. tsuchiya also holds the record at his home course of Usui with his Honda NSX-R.
He has raced NASCAR-sanctioned exhibition races at Suzuka Circuit (Suzuka Thunder 100) and at Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway for the 1998 NASCAR-sanctioned exhibition and 1999 NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series races at the circuit, both named the Coca-Cola 500k. Tsuchiya’s last race was round eight at Suzuka for the (JGTC) the Japanese Gran Touringcar Championship.


At age 47, Keiichi Tsuchiya announced his retirement from professional racing, and he became the Team Director for the GT500 Class ARTA team for a year and GT300 Class of JGTC Team until the team disbanded the GT300 operation at the end of the 2005 season. Later Tsuchiya sold his aftermarket suspension company Kei Office to Ogura Racing Clutch.

After that, Keiichi tsuchiya became a judge the D1 Grand Prix and also hosts the Japanese video magazine “Best Motoring,” now “Best Motoring International,” which features road-tests of new Japanese cars, including a special section called “Hot Version,” which focuses on performance modified cars. Tsuchiya can also be seen guest staring in Video Option’s monthly video magazine “Drift Tengoku,” which covers D1 Grand Prix and other drift related events and the Super GT video magazine also in Japan. he is also an editorial supervisor on the drifting animation Initial D and appeared in episode 23 as a special guest. He can also be seen in the movie series Shuto Kousoku Trial, he advises street racers to leave the illegal racing scene behind if they are to become involved with professional racing. In 2006, Keiichi made a cameo appearance in the movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift as a fisherman.

The presence of the legend and the driftking only grows larger as the drifting becomes more popular in the world as a motorpsort. What is inspiring about Tsuchiya’s career is that he was not rich when he started racing and was not handed his legendary title of “Drift King.” Instead, Tsuchiya fought his way up the ranks and earned his skills and reputation in battle – underground street racing until he came the greatest drifter ever.

CARS BLOG: mazda 3 ZOOMZOOM SP23

Location: EGYPT exactly in cairo. There are some cars that grab your attention on the track, let me introduce you to one of these cars the mazda 3 zoomzoom SP23 from egypt owned by Bassem Mamdouh. this car is the cleanest and most simply modified mazda 3 zoomzoom you may see, also this car has a great racing career and great days in egyptian motorsports and i can also say great times with it's owner. I though it would be cool to take a nice and detailed look into this car.

Day 2 in the final round 2009 Bassem finish at 3rd place and his brother came in 2nd on the same car despite of some mechanical problems that both racers faced in the track.

At Ghible raceway. one of the most great karting track all over the world. their is a time attack event at the race way every year. this pictuer was taken in round 2009. Basem came in 3rd place with monster cars like subaru imreza WRX STI,colt evo,lancer evolutions.in the picture we can see a mini cooper JCW next to the zoom zoom, also a 2 doors perdua K-lissa turbo one of the most popular cars in Egypt.

NO MORE NSX: Honda HSV-10 GT arrived to the super GT


Honda just released this picture of their 2010 SuperGT entry that will replace the honda NSX in japan's super GT championship. It will debut at the SuperGT opener on the 20th of March. Although we don't have an official release or specs yet, we do have the image above that looks promising and some preliminary details on the HSV-10 GT or Velocity Sports Honda. the car Built to the 2010 GT500 regulations, the new front/mid-engine racer from Honda is packing a 500+ hp, 3.4-liter V8 and sending power through the same Ricardo sequential manual gearbox fitted to the 2010 SuperGT cars from Nissan and Toyota. Underneath all that glorious carbon fiber is the same chassis Honda's been working on (originally as an NSX replacement) for the last two years. The SuperGT season opener is scheduled for March 20 and 21 of 2010, but we expect more details and a host of high-res images to hit soon. Stay tuned...

The record seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher is coming back to F1 next year after three years in retirement at the wheel of the newly branded Mercedes Silver Arrows team. Several news sites are now reporting that the deal has been signed and will be announced shortly. Schumacher returns in one of the most competitive eras of F1, . The reunion of Ross Brawn and Michael Schumacher will be an exciting prospect! They are a master driving-strategy team who've won numerous world championships with four champions on the starting grid. That includes Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and McLaren teammate and defending champion Jenson Button, who won with Brawn in 2009 during a season where rule changes shook up the pecking order.at both Benetton and Ferrari. Will they be able win the championship again at a third team?

Recently,bugatti introduced to it's customers a new concept car. the 16 C galibier concept. according to bugatti, it is intend to be the most exclusive, elegant, and powerful four door car in the world. the power comes from 16 cylender 8.0L with stage two super charger. producing 800bhp which will be transferred to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. this engine is developped as a flex fuel engine, which means that this engine can run by ethanol. unlike the Veyron. the engine is front positioned. not rear. we can also see four exhaust pipes on both sides of the car on the rear and also we can see BIG LED lights. the body of the car is constructed of handmade CF parts colored in dark blue, while the wings and the doors of the car are made from polished aluminium. the details of the performance numbers of the car is not mentioned, but top speed maybe expected to be over 350km/h and sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds. the super galibier should go on sale by 2012

small but deadly Assetto Corse





Abarth returns to track racing, and it has chosen to do so with its new Fiat 500 Abarth Assetto Corse, the baby supersports car from Abarth, that is produced in a Limited Edition (49 cars).

The new Fiat 500 Assetto Corse developped by ABARTH engineers and designers will be the star of track races from next year. and its creation confirms Abarth's racing career.

The Assetto Corse version of the petite Fiat 500 Abarth takes up the baton from its forerunner, the '595' that notched up great victories in the European race tracks from 1963 and led to the coining of the description 'small but deadly'.

The cars sports a full racing outfit: wide track, white 17' special ultralight racing wheels, low ride, sports racing mirrors and a place for a number on the sides. Available in pastel grey with red Abarth side stripes, the Fiat 500 Abarth Assetto Corse reveals an assertive front end that houses a badge bearing the Abarth logo and, below this, wide bumpers complete with an aerodynamic spoiler and screen-printed grilles to replace the plastic openings on the standard production version. In addition to the classic bonnet clips, the bonnet houses two carbon air intakes bearing the Abarth scorpion logo. Under the bonnet we will find a modified version of the road-going Abarth 500’s 135Hp 1.4-liter turbo engine that develops 200Hp and 300 Nm of torque

The rear part of the car features a white winged spoiler, a badge bearing the Abarth logo and a twin exhaust pipe.

The Abarth identity is expressed to the full with a thunderbolt logo on the side representing the brand's racing image and a red band and four white chequers on the roof, just as on the winning Abarth 850TC version of the 1960s.

Inside, the Fiat 500 Abarth Assetto Corse is equipped with a roll-bar type-approved for racing that is completely hollow to make the car lighter and faster. The car weighs approximately 180 kg less than the road version. The racing seats, the special racing steering wheel and the carbon door panels make the Fiat 500 Abarth Assetto Corse a real baby sports car with undefeated characters all of its own .

Abarth has also provided a clothing set for the driver, that will be delivered in an original Abarth-branded leather bag. Owners of the Fiat 500 Abarth Assetto Corse will therefore be shining in overalls, helmets, gloves and shoes, all branded with the ultra-new 'Assetto Corse' logo produced for the limited edition of the car.

What your looking at is a 2010 Ford Mustang called the “RTR” or “Ready to Rock” Mustang. it's a new generation of ford mustang. The man behind it is the world drifter Vaughn Gittin. Vaughn has taken the stock 2010 ford Mustang and put his own flare into it building the Ultimate Street Performance Mustang. GTR Spec V (it's nissan's victory)







Nissan introduced the GT-R SpecV at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon. Exterior changes from the base GT-R. the SpecV consists of a carbon fiber rear spoiler, grille, and brake ducts, along with an exclusive Ultimate Black Opal paint job. Interior changes include a set of carbon fiber Recaro front seats with the completly removing of the rear seats. Carbon fiber covers the center storage box, instrument panel, and replaces the majority of the interior trim.
The GT-R SpecV is powered by the standard twin-turbo 3.8L V6 with the same 480 horsepower. A new high gear boost controller that allows a temporary increase in boost pressure to the IHI twin turbochargers, now larger than those on the standard GT-R, should deliver more torque in mid to high-range revs. Other mechanical changes include a titanium exhaust, reworked suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, and 20-inch NISMO wheels. Overall weight is decreased by 132 lb (60 kg) over the standard GT-R.
Japan sales begin on February 2, 2009 at seven pre-selected dealers who are staffed by mechanics with special GT-R SpecV training and are knowledgeable of racing circuit driving. Pricing is set over US$160,000. Nissan has not announced any plans to sell the SpecV outside of Japan.
